more mary jane -- this time a sweater purse

I love purses. Put me in any room and the first thing I look for is what kind of purse a woman is carrying. And you know how much I love this book -- so of course, I had to try her sweater bag in her you-must-see-this-book CROCHET THAT FITS.

And using her method of single crocheting with a smaller hook and then switching to a larger hook and double crochet, you get this wonderful looking shape...

...that turns into this darling, Doris-Day-type sweater purse.

  1. you know what I felt just as I read your post and saw the pictures ?! this is what they call "love at the first sight" !!!
This is an incredible purse and the color & details you chose for it : it is just per-fect ! it looks so "chic" as we say here.

I'll have to see if this book is available on amazon.fr or else check what it would cost (p&p) on the UU site

  5. You did a wonderful job on the purse, I would love to be able to crochet from a pattern, my grandmother taught me. I had a look at your previous post, the experiment with twine and the results are fantastic, you are so creative. I love visiting your blog, it is very inspiring.hugs, Margie.
