The Lion Brand Crochet-Along can be found here: Lion Brand Notebook
The CAL is being led by Edie Eckman and the hexagon motif is from her book: Beyond the Square Crochet Motifs Edie provides a link to the instructions for crocheting the motif.
I am using Lion Brand’s Vanna’s Choice in the colors of Dusty Blue, Taupe, Linen, Silver Blue, and Chocolate - the afghan is for my husband who chose the colors. I may add in some Toffee and Vanna’s Choice Baby in Sweet Pea, because I want to add some sparks of color to the afghan, LOL. This hexagon motif is quick and fun to crochet.
I plan on making a "feminine" version for myself! It is also fun to play with color combinations:)
Nita, I just love hexagons. This one has just the right amount of open work to it but not so much that his big toes will get stuck in 'em (LOL). Lovely color choices, this'll turn out handsome. Please post your progress for us. My opinion is that you need to be as happy with your 'ghan as your hubby since you are the creator of it and it will reside in your home and you will be forever looking at it!
