I have finished my 'Pretty in Pink' crochet rag rug this week. I love making and crocheting rag rugs but absolutely hate the cutting up of fabric. I do hope you like it :-)
It's beautiful, so bright and cheery. What is the size? And what is the hook size you use? I looovvveee hearts and was just looking thru my crochet patterns last night and came across one. Now to choose a color, hmmmm! Then today I come across your lovely rug. Sunroom, Simplicity came out with a new rotary fabric cutter I saw it on Treads.com. Check it out. If you make quite a few rugs this could maybe speed you up or least eliminate possible hand cramp from those darn scissors. http://www.simplicity.com/p-2903-rotary-cutting-machine.aspx . They even have a youtube video showing how it works. Have a great day!
I love making rag rugs as well. Rather than cutting the individual strips of fabric, why not start a two inch cut at the top of your fabric, and just rip the rest of the way? This is what i do and it saves so much time! Sometimes if you rip in the wrong direction, the fabric will rip unevenly, so I just try it from the opposite direction and that usually solves the problem. Hope that helps, love the heart!!
Oh yes, I really like it :)
