Baby Blanket

I finished this Tiramisu Baby Blanket last night. I thought it was for a great-nephew, but now I'm told that it's a girl. She won't be born until sometime in early December. Maybe I'll have time to do a more girlie one? Maybe not. I think this one would be okay for a girl, don't you?

You can find the free pattern HERE.

  1. That's a neutral colour, so I'm sure it'll suit a girl. You can also sew on some flowers to make it more girly, i suppose.
    Good job!

  2. Very sweet and yes, I think it will suit her very well :) Actually, I´m working on the same projects - two friends of mine are having their first babies and since I don´t know if they´re having a boy or a girl, so I chose light brown color with rose and navy blue satin ribbons. Depending of the "final results", the ribbons are easily replaceable :) Very pretty baby blanket!!

  3. I would totally use that for a girl! If you want to change anything just take the brown ribbon out and put a pink one in. Pink and brown makes a great combo.

  4. Beautiful result, I'm sure they will be thrilled with it! I agree - the colour is great - does not need changing at all, but if you prefer you could change the ribbon.

  5. yes I would agree, if you really want to add a girl touch change the ribbon, or when you give the gift wrap it up in pink tissue and choc ribbon, colour theme it....but truly lovely.

  7. GORGEOUS baby blanket! I love the colors! Yes, you can definitely use it for a boy or a girl...I agree with the other posts about just changing the color of ribbon to a pink, and you could add a couple of little pink crocheted flowers to it in on or two of the corners. Brown and pink go wonderfully together! Or, just leave as is! Either way, it's beautiful!

  8. Hi Pammy Sue, Alicia's pattern is lovely and you did a superb job! I wanted to make one too but I don't know any preggy mommies right now. I agree with Gina if you wanted to make it more "girlie" but I would surely understand it if you wanted to leave it just as beautiful as it is right now because it is always a wonderful feeling to be finished with a project and get to using the imagination in pondering the next project.

  9. Thank you for your sweet comments everyone! I think I'll definitely do the pink ribbon instead of the brown. Thanks for the suggestions.

  10. Can you please post an added picture of it with the pink ribbon once you've changed that? I'd love to see it before and after the ribbon change. :o)
