After almost a year of sometimes frantic crocheting this top is finally finished - hooray! I started late last year as a special Birthday present for my sister and I had high hopes that I would have it finished within the month, how wrong was I!
Since the weather has become sunny again I decided it was time to knuckle down and get the top finished - and to give me the push I needed to actually do it I made myself promise not to start any more projects until it was finished.
I'm very happy with how this top has turned out, even without using a dressform (as recommended in the pattern) most of the motifs seem to have joined together without much warping (also helped with a good ironing yesterday). The pattern is from the CrochetMe website written by Katy Westcott (
http://www.crochetme.com/galaxy-top) but this should only be
attempted if you really do have oodles of spare time!
To reward myself for finally finishing I also made up this little guy from the pattern on Roman Sock (http://littlegreen.typepad.com/romansock/) and I'm going to be giving away one of these cute little guys on my blog.
