Crocheted Mesh Bag w/Sewn Liner

It's been awhile!  I have to admit I just don't crochet as much as I used to.  Since learning how to sew I find myself spending more time sewing than crocheting.  Well, I finally buckled down and worked on another crochet project.
Here I made a crocheted mesh bag...however, I couldn't just leave it plain & simple...I sewed a polka-dot liner for it and added button embellishments.  I found some really cute pink & purple polka-dot ribbon at Hobby Lobby, so I used the ribbon for ties at the top of the bag.
I used Lily Sugar 'n Cream cotton yarn in "swimming pool" color.  The pattern I used for making this bag was found on the back of the Lily yarn label.

Flower Garland

Last month I found out how incredibly addictive it is to make garlands. I made this garland yesterday. It took quiet some time but I like the result.

Pilates Mat Bag

Yeah!  I finished it.  I used Red Heart Collage yarn called Landscape Green and trimmed it in some TLC stash yarn I had on hand.  It's much easier to carry it from car to class now.   I'm happy with how it turned out.  It's a little bit like putting socks on a baby, though.  Do you have any ideas for getting it to slip on better?   Let me know, thanks!

Bluebells Granny Square Blanket

Here’s my latest completed blanket. The blue yarn reminds me of bluebells and so the name was born.

Almost finished baby jacket

Blessed is the second trimester! Tummy troubles are down to a minimum and I feel quite energetic (most of the time, still need my afternoon naps) Hence I am flying through some baby crochet projects. Here is the latest!
I haven't finished it because I want to wait till I know if it's a boy or girl. If its a girl I'm going to finish it off with a scalloped edging, if its a boy I will finish it off with a double crochet edging and not so girly buttons.

I've already started another project, a vest made from 4ply wool using a 2.5 hook. I am just making up the pattern as I go because I can't seem to find patterns for 4 ply yarn. I bought a little t-shirt that I'm using for size and dimensions. Will post when I get more done. I don't think this baby is goi ng to know what bought clothes are. My mum has already finished knitting 3 items and has yarn for 3 more! I've got a whole heap more that I want to use up too.

Hope you are all well, loving the projects that have been blogged about!

Blanket WIP for 2011

I have not posted here for a while but thought that you might like to see my latest project. I stated it on Christmas Day evening.

I have already had a go at a Granny stripe blanket with the guidance of Attic 24 and decided that I would like to try something else.

There is more info on my blog and I hope that what you see here is alright as I am self taught and I do not have anyone locally to ask.

This is going to take a little while to do but it is great fun for in front of the TV! keeps my iknees warm!

soft sculpture

I made this soft sculpture by adding little crocheted pieces to a secondhand wood frame. The pieces are a form I love to crochet... like barnacles, fungi, or seed pods. I think it's a cool piece!
